Store owner Tracey Hilbert opened the original location in September, 2012, above Conservation Studio, on Larchmere Boulevard. “Business was good” said Hilbert “but our new location is much more visible, and a little larger.”
Hilbert stated that her desire to own her own shop has been a long time dream of hers, dating back to her teenage years helping her father run his drug store, which he owned for 28 years. “His store was in a similar neighborhood to Larchmere, which is probably one reason I love this place so much. Larchmere has a strong sense of community and it tries really hard. There is a strong community association. I have a deep affinity for it. There’s no where else I would rather be.”
Hilbert attributes her keen eye for spotting the treasures she sells in the store to years in the fashion industry, working with photographers, and also managing a gift boutique for many years. The store is true to its name, with everything from vintage longhorn antlers to Tory Burch sandals, designer jeans, and mid-century modern Herman Miller chairs.
